2023 Elections: Group Beckon On Oputu To Indicate Interest For Gubernatorial Race In Delta.

A political pressure Group known as The Emerging Dream (TED) has called on a former governorship aspirant and philanthropist, Chief Ejiro Rume Oputu to once again make himself available come 2023.

This was made known recently in Minna, Niger State by the National Director of the Group, Oghorobada Stanley Efe while speaking with Journalists immediately after a closed door meeting with Former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim B. Babangida.

"Gen. Babangida is my father. Once in a while, I visit him to tap from his wealth of experience and knowledge. We also discussed issues bothering on national development. He's passionate about the well being of Nigerians, the security of lives and properties and how the younger generation can be fully involved in governance as 2023 draws closer" he said.

"The 2019 general elections has come and gone. Winners have also emerged. Its now time to look ahead into the future and strategies. Those elected must be accountable to the masses who voted them into offices. This is because getting re-elected is now tied to performance" he noted

On 2023 general elections, the political commentator and popular blogger has this to say;
"Politicians should focus on delivering on their campaign promises to the masses. Governance is a serious business that requires determination and focus. But I can assure you that the 2023 general elections will witness a lot of surprises and emergence of the youth in government. That's even the focus of my discussion with my Father, Gen. Babangida"

"Lets give the youth a chance to be part of our political process and leadership. In a couple of weeks from now, I will be meeting with Former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and also Chief James Ibori, former Governor of Delta State to discuss issues bothering on youth inclusion in politics. We will be fully involved in deciding who governs Delta State and other States come 2023"

"I'm therefore calling on my friend, Chief Ejiro Rume Oputu to prepare himself for 2023. He should not relent. We will mobilise youths, market women, artisans to appeal to him to make himself available and vie for governorship in Delta State come 2023. He's a young man with burning desire to touch on the lives of Deltans" he said.
